New Look For An Old Site

As you have hopefully noticed, there have been some changes to the site. That is because of a move to a new host and blogging platform - micro.blog - my first time doing something that dramatic in at least seven years. Aside from downtime Thursday evening as the changes percolated through the internet, it went pretty smoothly.

No need to bore you with the details behind the change. A few things broke, my old web host pissed me off, etc.

You will find all 23 years of my nonsense in the archives. I can’t get site-wide search to work yet, but fingers crossed that works at some point. Micro.blog uses a different syntax than Wordpress to embed media, so any old posts with YouTube, Spotify, Apple Music, etc embeds are jacked up. I’m in the process of updating all the Reaching For The Stars entries. Eventually I will clean up the year-end favorites music posts as well. However, fixing every Friday Playlist post will be too much of a pain. I will leave those on the site with broken links for future Internet archaeologists to peruse.1

Aside from that and a few formatting changes, everything should work pretty closely to how it did on Wordpress. Let me know if you run into any issues.
