The worst year ever has but a few hours left. And then everything will magically get better at midnight, right?<\/p>\n<p>If only\u2026<\/p>\n<p>2021 has to be better. Vaccines are being administered and research continues to find more ways to fight Covid&#8211;19. It may take months, but the tide is turning.<\/p>\n<p>While Covid is our biggest issue, there are plenty of other issues for which there are no vaccines. And even if there were vaccines for racism and hate and greed and lack of empathy and people focused on obtaining\/maintaining power by finding ways to divide us, well, let\u2019s be honest, most of those fools wouldn\u2019t take it. <\/p>\n<p>There are lots of reasons to be pessimistic about the future. Rolling the calendar over to a new year won\u2019t fix that.
