A lot of basketball (on TV and in person) and another week away from home didn\u2019t help. Thus, another rather short list of things to share this month.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>Movies, Series, Shows<\/h3>\n<p><em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.foodnetwork.com\/shows\/halloween-baking-championship\">Halloween Baking Championship<\/a><\/em><br \/>\nI wrapped up the most recent season on November 2. Blayre was a deserving winner in a season filled with super-talented bakers. Seriously, any of six bakers could have won and I wouldn\u2019t have been mad. Also I forgot to mention last month that L no longer watches these shows with me. Sad.<\/p>\n<p>A<\/p>\n<p><em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.netflix.com\/title\/80209096\">My Next Guest Needs No Introduction<\/a><\/em><br \/>\nI think I watched 4\u20135 of these early in the month, skipping around to watch guests I was most interested in. As expected, really good stuff.<\/p>\n<p>A<\/p>\n<p><em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.imdb.com\/title\/tt0099685\/\">Goodfellas<\/a><\/em><br \/>\n<em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.imdb.com\/title\/tt0068646\/?ref_=fn_al_tt_1\">The Godfather<\/a><\/em><br \/>\nOne weekend A&amp;E was showing these and <em>The Godfather Part 2<\/em> on an endless loop so I popped in several times. I\u2019ve always been a <em>Goodfellas<\/em> &gt;&gt;&gt; <em>Godfather<\/em> guy, so I made sure to catch more of it. Still, two American classics.<\/p>\n<p>A, A<\/p>\n<p><em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.imdb.com\/title\/tt4209788\/\">Molly\u2019s Game<\/a><\/em><br \/>\nAlthough I loaded by iPad up with a lot of content for our trip, I only ended up watching two movies, and both on the way back. Seriously, I\u2019m not sure how I managed the flight to Europe so easily.<\/p>\n<p>Anyway, I thought this was quite good. I think Idris Elba could have been used more, but it wasn\u2019t his character\u2019s story. Jessica Chastain was mesmerizing.<\/p>\n<p>A-<\/p>\n<p><em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.imdb.com\/title\/tt1879016\/?ref_=fn_al_tt_1\">Operation Mincemeat<\/a><\/em><br \/>\nMy other airplane movie, I thought it was also well done, if given a few dramatic turns I figured were probably added just to make the story more interesting. One big one &#8211; the love triangle &#8211; was confirmed to be manufactured for the screen. There were some other elements I have not found anything to confirm or deny they were added by the screenwriters, but I\u2019ll assume they were.<\/p>\n<p>A-<\/p>\n<p><em><a href=\"https:\/\/ondemand.spectrum.net\/tv\/cnn\/23466124\/tis-the-season-the-holidays-on-screen\/\">\u2019Tis the Season: The Holidays on Screen<\/a><\/em><br \/>\nI stumbled onto this one night as it began and ended up watching for all two hours. I\u2019ve watched a few other shows that are about Christmas movies and this was much better than them, less a clip show that an exploration of what makes holiday movies resonate with us.<\/p>\n<p>A-<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>Shorts, YouTubes, Etc<\/h3>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/8xcFhoYoFXE\">Gateway Astro: $800 All-In-One PC from 1999!<\/a><br \/>\nI don\u2019t remember these at all, but if I did I bet I thought they were pretty dope.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/K-qhnh-KRgw\">One Hour of 80\u2019s Video Game Commercials<\/a><br \/>\nNot sure what was worse: the Atari games or their commercials. Of course I watched every minute of this.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/6IedN0k4RSQ\">Audi S8 v Porsche Panamera Turbo: DRAG RACE<\/a><br \/>\nFor some reason the Audi videos haven\u2019t been showing up in my feed lately. I\u2019m glad this one popped up.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/BO8ZX3HqRDY\">Seinfeld Bloopers<\/a><br \/>\nA few pretty good ones in this compilation.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/ZlFVNLByCks\">Everyday Carry Essentials and Travel Setup | Erik Anders Lang Founder of Random Golf Club | Gear Lab<\/a><br \/>\nThis guy\u2019s golf videos annoyed me when I used to watch them, but I am always down to listen\/watch people talk about the stuff they use on a daily basis.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I think I broke my media consumption habits in October and have yet to get them right.
