I bet they listened to a lot of Aussie pop, though.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;So Nice&#8221; &#8211; Finnoguns Wake<br \/>\nThis band, however, is Australian.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Shadow of a Doubt&#8221; &#8211; SPRINTS<br \/>\nI really like this group, but in small amounts. I tried to listen to their new album and it was a bit overwhelming. <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Lunar Eclipse&#8221; &#8211; The Vaccines<br \/>\nWay back when this year began, our local NBC affiliate ran a promo highlighting all the big things they would be covering in the coming year. The NBA All Star game. The Indy 500. The Olympics. The Colts. And so on. They also threw in a few seconds about <a href=\"https:\/\/science.nasa.gov\/eclipses\/future-eclipses\/eclipse-2024\/where-when\/\">April&#8217;s solar eclipse<\/a>, which I found so very Local News. &#8220;Hey! The sun is going to disappear for four minutes! No one will cover those four minutes like us!&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The Train From Kansas City&#8221; &#8211; The Shangri-Las<br \/>\nMary Weiss, lead singer of the Shangri-Las, died this week at 75. Most folks will remember the band, which had a huge influence on American punk and new wave acts, for their biggest hit, &#8220;Leader of the Pack,&#8221; which hit #1 in 1964. I&#8217;m kind of partial to this lesser-known track.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;True Trans Soul Rebel&#8221; &#8211; Against Me!<br \/>\nThis week also marked the 10th anniversary of the release of Against Me!&#8217;s magnificent <em>Transgender Dysphoria Blues<\/em>. Laura Jane Grace made some great music before this album, and has made some great music since it.
