That means it\u2019s both time to break out the summer music and to play a song I always play this weekend. I don\u2019t really get drunk, either. But we can still listen to Mellencamp to kick off the biggest weekend of the year in Indy.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSober\u201d &#8211; Elbow<br \/>\nSpeaking of not drinking\u2026I\u2019ve been hot and cold on Elbow over the years, but have been enjoying their most recent music.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat\u2019s Fair\u201d &#8211; Blondshell<br \/>\nWhen Sabrina Teitelbaum first hit the scene she took a lot of heat for capitalizing on her father\u2019s status and wealth to establish her career. With album #2 out, there\u2019s no doubt she\u2019s a legit talent.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cRadio Armageddon\/What Rock Is\u201d &#8211; Chuck D<br \/>\nMistachuck is back! I listened to his new album last week. It\u2019s solid, especially when considering that he is 64 years old. But so much of it, from his voice to the production to the arrangement of the songs, comes off as a B-minus version of his classic work in Public Enemy. These are the first two tracks on the album. They give you an idea of what most of the rest of the album sounds like.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMetal\u201d &#8211; The Beths<br \/>\nThe Beths\u2019 music almost always makes me happy.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBird On A Swing\u201d &#8211; Cory Hanson<br \/>\nA dramatic shift in tone and sound from his last project, which was jammed full of Eighties-esque shredded solos.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMy Friend Dario\u201d &#8211; Vitalic<br \/>\nIt\u2019s race weekend.
