<\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>\u201cConstructive Summer\u201d – The Hold Steady<br \/>\nAlways good advice to build something in the summer.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAndromeda\u201d – Preoccupations<br \/>\nNot a bad song on the latest Preoccupations album.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOne Million\u201d – Rocket<br \/>\nOther than \u201cCherub Rock,\u201d I was never a Smashing Pumpkins fan, so it\u2019s kind of weird I enjoy so many new bands, like this one, that mimic their sound. A lot of it has to do with the lead singer <em>not<\/em> being Billy Corgan. These kids will actually open up for the Pumpkins on their upcoming tour.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cChemicals\u201d – Split System<br \/>\nGood, old-fashioned, Aussie punk rock.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPacemaker\u201d – Georgie & Joe<br \/>\nAm I hearing the early 90s in this jam?<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Line\u201d – Trace Mountains<br \/>\nAs much as I like it when Trace Mountains leans into War on Drugs adjacent sounds, I also enjoy when they make music that sounds different and stands on its own.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cGet Out My Face AKA Bad Kitty\u201d – Garbage<br \/>\nI liked Garbage\u2019s first comeback a lot. This one lacks the energy and urgency of their best work.
