The sub-head of this piece is perfect: Being an asshole is a choice.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Free speech was meant to empower the powerless against the powerful, not to provide protection for society\u2019s privileged members to hurl invective at the unprivileged and marginalized. The American right \u2013 and parts of the left \u2013 have twisted the idea of actual free speech into an unrecognizable mess that tells Americans they should have the right to say any insulting thing any time they want to anyone online or in real life.\u00a0\u201cIt\u2019s a free country, I can do what I want,\u201d they say, just as I said as a young, stupid child.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/badfaithtimes.com\/self-censorship-is-actually-good\/\">Self Censorship Is Actually Good<\/a><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>Despite loving the Beatles, I found this list very funny. I guess there are tons of young people who think the Beatles are overrated, likely because they grew up on music that was influenced by or ripped off what the Beatles did first &#8211; or even music that ripped off those rip offs &#8211; and can\u2019t appreciate the OGs.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<ol>\n<li>\u201cThe Fool On The Hill\u201d<br \/>\nWhat happens when a heartthrob boy band does a shitload of drugs and become hippies and start really trying to get creative? Poop on tape. I\u2019m pretty sure this song has a kazoo solo in it. I\u2019m not the only one who thinks so.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Simply put, The Ringer\u2019s coverage came across as if it was created by people who have been following players like Haliburton since he was a draft prospect, whereas ESPN\u2019s coverage did its best to force both the Thunder and the Pacers into predetermined morning debate show narratives.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/awfulannouncing.com\/ringer\/nba-finals-coverage-everything-espn-wasnt.html\">Bill Simmons and The Ringer\u2019s NBA Finals coverage was everything ESPN\u2019s wasn\u2019t<\/a><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>I haven\u2019t watched any of these yet, but I 100% will be watching the <em>Phineas and Ferb<\/em> revival soon.
