My bad. Which makes sense as it was the warmest, least stormy stretch of 2025 so the pool was always available, even if I had to kick the heater on in the morning to get it warmed up a bit over the past month.<a id=\"fnref:2\" class=\"footnote\" title=\"see footnote\" href=\"#fn:2\">[2]<\/a><\/p>\n<p>I worked out &#8211; either strength training, cardio, swimming, or taking a walk longer than 30 minutes &#8211; 78 of 92 days, or a cool 85% of days. By comparison, I worked out 73% of days in Q1, 74% of days in Q2, so a big bump up. And that was losing a day when we moved C into her dorm. A little perturbed with myself for being lazy two other days in August and not stretching out a really long consecutive days streak. As it stands, I\u2019ve had two streaks of 11 straight days breaking a sweat.<\/p>\n<p>Again, these are not to brag but to motivate. I\u2019m super lucky that my schedule allows the opportunity to work out every day, my gym is literally a two minute walk from my front door, and we have a pool.<a id=\"fnref:3\" class=\"footnote\" title=\"see footnote\" href=\"#fn:3\">[3]<\/a> I know most of you have very different time constraints. Find 20\u201330 minutes in your day and do something to get your heart rate up, it\u2019ll be good for you.<\/p>\n<p>The irony of my efforts is that my weight simply does not change. I\u2019m still in the same 3\u20135 pound range every time I weigh myself. I could lose 5\u201310 pounds, but as a man I am fortunate those extra ones are hidden until I take my shirt off at the pool. I suppose that\u2019s a downside of being home all day. Anytime I need a snack, one is available, so my caloric intake generally fluctuates with my workout schedule. Take a day off, I don\u2019t get hungry in the afternoon. Work out hard three straight days, I\u2019m probably adding another half meal sometime in the afternoon or evening.<\/p>\n<div class=\"footnotes\">\n<hr \/>\n<ol>\n<li id=\"fn:1\">I hope you raised four fingers and walked from one side of your house to the other sometime last Tuesday. <a class=\"reversefootnote\" title=\"return to article\" href=\"#fnref:1\">\u00a0\u21a9<\/a><\/li>\n<li id=\"fn:2\">I need the water at least 85\u00b0 to get started. I\u2019m kind of a wuss about chilly water. <a class=\"reversefootnote\" title=\"return to article\" href=\"#fnref:2\">\u00a0\u21a9<\/a><\/li>\n<li id=\"fn:3\">We are currently getting quotes to finish part of our basement as a workout room.
