Some 1970s Bowie in this one? Or, rather, it sounds like an act from the Seventies that was influenced by Bowie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cArrow\u201d &#8211; Lala Lala<br>While this artist got her start in Chicago, it really was inevitable that she would move to LA with a name like that. I like the ominous tone of the music and how her vocals offset that feeling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cCelluloid\u201d &#8211; GUM<br>When I first came across this song, I thought it was GUV, thus was very surprised when it sounded like a cross between Bloc Party and TV On The Radio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIn The Middle Of It\u201d &#8211; Hiss Golden Messenger<br>As always, HGM provides the warm weather vibes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cFuture Spring\u201d &#8211; Gladie<br>Here\u2019s our latest entry in the Straight From The Nineties sounding acts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cPhantasms Of The Living\u201d &#8211; Mute Swan featuring Sonoda<br>Some very solid, melodic shoegaze. I\u2019m hearing early 2000s, something I would have caught on Music Choice back in the day, searched for on a file sharing service, then burned to a CD I listened to in my car and at work. Granted I\u2019ve largely tuned them out for 20-ish years. And I heard another song from their new EP that I though was decent.
