They still sound great.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s A Beautiful Life\u201d &#8211; Francis of Delirium<br>Glad our only Luxembourg act has some staying power.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cJavelin\u201d &#8211; Kevin Morby<br>As promised two weeks ago, the second excellent new track from one of KC\u2019s finest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI Wish I Didn\u2019t Waste Your Time\u201d &#8211; Thundercat<br>The new Thundercat album is out today; the early reviews were terrific. That makes sense, as every preview single I\u2019ve heard has been good-to-great.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cHeaven Of Love\u201d &#8211; The Reds, Pinks, and Purples<br>Man, Glenn Donaldson sounds like he\u2019s going through some stuff on this track. Thankfully he\u2019s turning that into really good music.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIf You Change\u201d &#8211; Widowspeak<br>I haven\u2019t used the <em>Country Or Not<\/em> moniker in a long time. That was the case this week after hearing \u201cAllentown,\u201d and was surprised that there was no video attached to <a href=\"https:\/\/dsnotebook.me\/index.php\/2018\/03\/11\/reaching-for-the-stars-vol-4\/\">the post<\/a>. It looks like I didn\u2019t start embedding them until the <a href=\"https:\/\/dsnotebook.me\/index.php\/2018\/05\/01\/reaching-for-the-stars-vol-7\/\">seventh RFTS entry<\/a>. So I ran over to YouTube, found the \u201cAllentown\u201d vid, and copied it into the original post. <a id=\"fnref:1\" class=\"footnote\" title=\"see footnote\" href=\"#fn:1\">[1]<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Then I watched it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Wow. It really is something\u2026 Whatever it is I\u2019m not sure it jibbed with Joel\u2019s gritty look at how the Rust Belt was falling apart in the Eighties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Apparently there was some controversy &#8211; shocking! &#8211; about it, particularly about the mostly nude men in the showers. Those scenes were stripped from the video played on MTV.
