So some classics for you this week.<\/p>\n<p>https:\/\/open.spotify.com\/user\/224aiwksicafjldlua6nnpo4y\/playlist\/53s9WU35qyn9FNpWpvziAf?si=8j5bbwhHQDe-LeXrI_HgLQ<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFloat On\u201d &#8211; Modest Mouse. This song has jumped up a lot recently on Sirius for some reason. I think I\u2019ve heard it 10 times in the last six weeks or so. M has been in the car with me a couple of those times and she and I are always pleased that she knows this is the song I was listening to when S\u2019s water broke the night before M was born.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOnly a Memory\u201d &#8211; The Smithereens. I heard this on my way home after dropping the girls off at school this morning. Always great to crank up.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo. Central Rain\u201d &#8211; R.E.M. I skimmed an article this week that was a track-by-track breakdown of R.E.M.&#8217;s second album, <em>Reckoning<\/em>, to celebrate its 35th anniversary. I didn\u2019t like them then, but I\u2019m sure glad that I learned to love songs like this.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Lines Are Cut\u201d &#8211; The Coast. One of those bands that I discovered after their very brief career and didn\u2019t understand why they didn\u2019t make it bigger.
